I’m a business owner, mama, yogi, doula, and a friend

I spent the last decade as a CEO and growth marketer at my digital marketing company, Leap Grow. After the birth of my second daughter, I felt called to create a professional avenue for myself outside of the masculine, hustle-culture world of startups.

In 2024, I completed my Birth Doula training with Natural Resources in San Francisco, where I learned from a deeply experienced midwife and doula, Michelle Welborn. I’m thrilled to be stepping into the birth world, and bringing my yoga and photography practices with me.

Center of gravity

Family is everything. My husband John and I have been together for 16+ years, and our marriage is the bedrock we build from.

In 2020, we welcomed our first daughter, Louisa. I have been spellbound with love since her arrival. Each new phase brings fresh lessons, curiosity, challenges and joys. As a pandemic parent, my postpartum was insular and deep—a cocoon we stayed in for many months.

When I returned to work after becoming a mom, I experienced a period of postpartum depression, catalyzed by work stress. This experience gave me firsthand experience with the lows we can feel as new parents navigating our changed reality.

Late 2023 brought the arrival of our second daughter, Iris. Adding a new ingredient to our family mix felt unknown—I wasn’t sure it was possible to love anything as much as Louisa and John. Iris showed us that love only expands as a family grows.

An offering of service

As I settled in as a mother, business owner, yogi and more—I realized I was called to help families navigate this great life transition.

I was showing up for my pregnant friends as a childbirth educator and baby prep strategist.

I was dropping in on my postpartum friends as an emotional support, home cook, lactation advisor and baby-holder.

I started offering yoga to preschoolers, and realized I had a special passion for family-centered yoga.

I got behind the camera to take pictures of my friends with their babies, and then starting doing family sessions and headshots.

My mom friends would call me before they went back to work, and I’d coach them through the difficult first weeks as they navigated the transition.

Everything I do at Oyster Family is what my spirit is called to do in the world—it’s as simple as that.

I’d love to support your family as you navigate your own beautiful chapter of your new life.
